50 Years Strong — Built on Experience, Backed by Trust

Royal Formwork Solutions began in 1975 as a small timber and plywood supplier, known then as Royal Plywood. Our founder recognised a growing demand in Sydney’s concrete construction industry — and set out to create a specialist formwork supply business built on trust, reliability, and real industry knowledge.

From day one, we’ve focused on delivering what tradies actually need on site: quality materials, consistent stock, fair pricing, and people who understand the job.

As the construction industry evolved, so did we. We expanded our product range beyond timber and plywood, adding formwork systems, accessories, tools, falsework, and hardware. In time, we opened trade centres in Melbourne and Brisbane, built out our national distribution network, and introduced formwork hire as a core part of our offering.

A major milestone in our journey was becoming the exclusive Australian distributor for Condor Formwork Systems, bringing world-class Italian engineering to Australian job sites.

In 2024, we were honoured to receive the Trade Store of the Year Award from the National Timber & Hardware Association (NTHA) — a testament to the passion and commitment of our team.
